W ho is God? The Bible says that God is our creator. He is completely good, pure, and just. He is perfect. God gave us rules and laws in the Bible and the knowledge of good and evil to know what is right and what is wrong.
What happens after we die?The Bible says after we die that we will go to Heaven and be with God, or we will go to Hell and suffer forever. The way to go to Heaven is to follow God's laws in your mind and body 100% of the time. Just one evil thought and we have failed! If we fail the penalty is eternal torment and separation from God in Hell. The Bible says that every person who has ever lived has failed to meet these standards. The Bible says that it doesn't matter if we are good people and we have done good things. There is nothing we can do to reach up to God's standards. Being a good and kind person is not enough to get you into Heaven
The Good NewsWe can not reach up to God so God reached down to us. God sent us His only Son Jesus Christ from heaven. Jesus walked among us, showed us God's love, God's grace, God's mercy, and His desire to forgive us. Jesus led a perfect life and always pleased God and met His standards. Then Jesus performed the ultimate act of love. He allowed Himself to be tortured and killed to save us. Jesus payed the penalty so that we would not have to. He died for us. Three days after His death Jesus came back to life and went back to heaven and now He sits again on His heavenly throne with His Father.
What you need to doThe Bible says that you need to believe that Jesus did this for you and put your faith in Him to save you. Trust in His sacrifice alone. Rely on Him for your eternal salvation. Turn away from evil. Receive His free gift of forgiveness. Invite Jesus Christ to be the Lord of your life.
Do you Believe?Tell God. Tell Him you are sorry for the evil that you've done. Tell Him you believe that Jesus Christ died to save you. Tell Him you want to give your life to Him, that you want Him to come into your heart. Tell Him you want Him to be the ruler of your life.
