A re you hungry to know more about God? Whether sitting at your computer, doing housework, or driving back and forth to work, you could be redeeming that time by growing in your knowledge of God and strengthening your faith every day. One of the best kept secrets of Christianity is the incredible resources available to you on the internet at this moment. Here are just a few sites where you can either listen, watch, or download the best in Christian teaching or the bible itself in audio format for FREE. Stick the downloadable audio files in an iPod or other MP3 player (MP3 is a standard audio file format) and you have a portable bible study with you wherever you go. What I do is download full length bible studies by Chuck Smith (my favorite), J. Vernon McGee, Brian Brodersen, or any other of my favorite teachers, or just the audio bible itself, to my MP3 player and plug it into my car stereo and listen to them on my way to work. Sometimes I watch a streaming video bible study on my lunch break or at home on my computer. Sometimes I burn an an audio lesson or free praise music to a regular CD and play it in my CD player in my living room. I'll eventually get some how-to articles up on the site later, but here are some sites to get you started if you already know how, or have access to the average 10 year old who seem to know everything about computers by instinct (grin). |
